RE: check your Seneca hitch

This is old news and a recall was issued and all newer models have been upgraded. Everyone should check the hitch bolts and nuts as a standard checklist before each trip. Dane it is a 2007 gs35

check your Seneca hitch

I have now 8000 miles on the Seneca and found all the nuts holding the hitch were either loose or missing! I was shocked to find they did not use lock nuts, lock washers or any lock tite. It was a near disaster, take a look at yours. b

what does this button do?

I had to start the mh with the aux start button, that part works fine but what does the other button do on the same panel? I have a 07 seneca 35. I used to know but for the life of me could not find it in any of the manuals. thanks bill

RE: LP Quick Connect

I took apart the bbq that came with the seneca and used the hose and regulator that came with it to retro fit our own. It is not very long but good enough to set the bbq on a table.

RE: Kodiak Receiver height

I do not know the measurement on the 36 but on my 35 I had buy the longest off-set I could to pull a 23' cargo trailer. I will check tonite if I get a chance but my guess your receiver is at least 8" to high on the Seneca.

RE: Jayco Seneca Super C awning

I own a gs35 and have no problem lowing the awning. I will still clear the tip out no problem. When lowered it provides a little more sun coverage but not ideal because it is still quite high off the ground. At this lowered angle there is no way the water should pool if your RV is level. The adjustments are in your owners manual, it is a pain but worth the effort. good luck

RE: Coach Battery Disconnect

so if you disconnect the coach battery and remian hooked up to shore power will the batteries still be maintained? I guess my question is - is this a good way to put the unit in storage during times when you would not be using it for a month or more? bill

RE: jayco seneca exhaust tip

Should I just put a Chrome tip on it? What about the exhaust cooling that the other tip had or is it even necessary? Do you have a 2007 engine with the wide flared exhaust. If you do you may have to contact a dealer. Should be under warranty on a 2007. Yes it was but I am sure that road hazard will not be warranted, was does that tip actually do?

RE: jayco seneca exhaust tip

yeah, Midas, pep boys, Advance Auto, WalMart etc...Or spend the big bucks and go to your RV dealer. Maybe it's a rare item in Canaduh? Should I just put a Chrome tip on it? What about the exhaust cooling that the other tip had or is it even necessary?

jayco seneca exhaust tip

We encountered some road debris and it appears that I lost the exhaust tip about 400 miles back. Is there any where I can get one of these or is there an after market solution? bill

RE: electrical 2007 seneca 35

just finally had time to check the seneca. I took the cover off in the bedroom and discovered two resets on the end of the inverter. One of them needed to be reset. Problem solved! Thanks for the help Bill

electrical 2007 seneca 35

During our last trip the plug that powers the tv in the bunk will not work on any power source, no inverter, geni or land . Any suggestions? All other electrical seems to be working fine. Bill

RE: Seneca GS 35 impressions

Thanks for tips, we had a 40 ft fifth wheel before that handled like a Ferrari compared to the Seneca, I will definitely take the advise. One other item - the out door stereo has no reception, do I need to purchase some type of aftermarket aerial for it?

Seneca GS 35 impressions

We have just purchased our Seneca, these are some of the items we are taking issue with. 1. The exterior light is terrible, there is one light by the door which is blocked by the slide out and does not cast any light under the awning. 2. The inverter is hooked up to the TV which the ignition switch disables, meaning the kids are running the generator all of the time. 3. The awning is so high off the ground that it will never give any shade execpt for at high noon. 4. The truck handles like a big marshmellow but I have seen lots of posts on this issue. Thank you for any advice in advance.
